Western Tidewater Free Clinic (WTFC) is a health home for uninsured, underinsured and underserved adults in Western Tidewater, delivering compassionate and high-quality health care. Having a primary care physician is one of the most important steps you can take when it comes to managing your health. Our primary care providers offer free, comprehensive medical services to those who are eligible and lack access to affordable healthcare within our community.

Primary Care Services Include:

• Medical care
• Mental health counseling
• One-on-one patient education
• Pharmacy services
• Women’s health program

Potential new patients must qualify to receive services at the Clinic. To meet eligibility requirements, patients must:

• Be an adult, age 18 or older
• Live in the cities of Franklin or Suffolk, or the counties of Isle of Wight, Southampton, Surry or Sussex 
• Have no health or dental insurance
• Live within maximum income levels shown in chart below

Other Services Include:

• Dental care
• Medical specialists, on and off-site
  
• Physical therapy
• Referrals to community-based agencies
• Vision care
